I'm sure it's pretty exciting for straight people to watch her "discover" what it is to be gay and share her findings with them. I recently came out to my mom, but not my dad because he is suffering from early onset Alzheimer's. They were watching Oprah when one of those shows was on, and my mom asked him what he would do if one of his kids was like that. He said he'd still love them. My mom told him that I was, and he joked about it. I thought I would never know how my dad felt about me, but thanks to Oprah I can rest a little easier. It meant so much.
Just thought that'd be a nice little story to share about straight people and Oprah. ;-)
